A one-weekend SEO audit
You don't need a consultant to find the twenty things holding a site back. This is the checklist we run before we quote anyone.
Most sites aren't hiding a penalty. They're hiding a slow template, forty pages competing for the same keyword, and a contact form that takes four seconds to appear. Two days is enough to find them.
Four passes, in this order
- Crawl the site and count what's actually indexed versus what you think exists
- Read every title and description once - duplication shows up immediately
- Run the homepage and your two biggest landing pages through a speed test on mobile
- Follow the internal links from your best page and see how far they reach
Fix in that order too. Indexation problems make every other number look worse than it is, and speed wins are usually a plugin or two away rather than a rebuild.
What the weekend won't tell you is whether the content deserves to rank. That takes longer, and it's the part worth paying someone for.
